Meiji era1868 - 1912

1903

Taichi Nakayama started a wholesale cosmetics business in Hanakuma-cho, Kobe City. (Nakayama Taiyodo)

1906

Launched "Club wash powder", which was phenomenally popular.

1910

Launched "Club white powder" and ""Club toothpaste".
Mr. P. L. Smith, a cosmetics technician, was invited from the UK.

1911

Launched "British style club beauty cream".

Taishou era1912 - 1926

1917

New head office and factory completed in Mizusaki-cho, Minami-ku (currently Naniwa-ku), Osaka.

1918

New head office and factory completed and relocated to Mizusaki-cho, Minami-ku (currently Naniwa-ku), Osaka.

1920

Launched "Katei soap". Leblanc's famous "Mother and Child" painting was used for advertising.

1924

Opened the Nakayama Culture Research Institute in the Doo Building in Osaka and the Maru Building in Tokyo.

Shouwa era1926 - 1989

1935

Launched "Medicated club beauty cream", which contains natural women's hormones.

1939

Established Nakayama Taiyodo Co., Ltd. Taichi Nakayama became the first president.

1957

Established Corona Co., Ltd. Launched "Coronasilox", a drug cream.

1958

Launched the "Club Love" series targeted at young women.

1965

Juichi Nakayama was appointed the third president.

1970

Separated manufacturing and sales to strengthen sales. Established Club Trading Co., Ltd. Established a technical alliance with Gala Cosmetics Ltd. in the U.K. Established Mary Quant Cosmetics Japan Co., Ltd.

1971

Changed company name from Nakayama Taiyodo Co., Ltd. to Club Cosmetics Co., Ltd.

1973

Established Flouveil Co., Ltd., and entered door-to-door sales.

1976

Newly built and relocated its head office in Nishihonmachi, Nishi-ku, Osaka. Completed construction of a new plant in Gojo City, Nara Prefecture.

1983

Completed construction of Aoyama Taiyo Building in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.

1988

Juichi Nakayama received the Medal with Blue Ribbon for his many years of achievement in development of the cosmetics industry.

Heisei era1989 - 2019

1999

Juichi Nakayama received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette as a result of his achievements in business and related organizations.

2000

The Institute of Cosmetic Culture in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture started operation.

2002

Yukari Nakayama assumed the position of the fourth President.
Flouveil ef 77 series received the Asian Star 2002 Award in the Asian Star Contest.

2004

ISO 9001:2000 certified.

2005

Merged with Club Cosmetics Sales Co., Ltd. (formerly Club Trading Co., Ltd.).

2006

Opened the Cultural materials room. Began public disclosure of historical documents.

2009

Completed construction of a new headquarters building in Taiyo Building.
Flouveil Co., Ltd. changed the name to Salon de Flouveil Co., Ltd.

2010

SHIZEN Tamatsubaki Soap was launched under an industrial promotion agreement with Goshima City, Nagasaki Prefecture.

2012

Merged with Salon de Flouveil Co., Ltd.
Launched "Nara Cosme", which was jointly developed with the Nara Prefectural Pharmaceutical Research Center.

2013

Launched "Club yuagari suppin powder", which makes bare skin look beautiful.

2014

Launched "Club airy touch powder", which makes skin soft like marshmallows.

2015

Donated a reproduced ceiling painting of the original Tsutenkaku

2017

The Gojo plant acquired ISO 22716:2007 certification.

Reiwa era2019 -

2021

Launched Daisy Doll by MARY QUANT, the second brand of MARY QUANT COSMETICS.

2022

A fictional novel "The King of Cosmetics" was published based on the founder, Taichi Nakayama.

2023

Osaka factory was established in Hirano-ku, Osaka.
